The progress in training was now very evident and range records were smashed right and left.
Record times were set for the fire and movement course by Charlie and Dog troops who tied for
first place with a time of 40 minutes.
The course was 3 miles and with 4 positions to be occupied.
The targets were timed from the order “Action” until fire for effect and

officers reactions were timed from the burst of one round to the burst
of the next less the time of flight.
