Obituary for Neva Bezeau from the Kelowna Daily Courier

BEZEAU, NEVA: Neva (Stansell) Bezeau passed away suddenly on Dec. 2 at Fernbrae Manor at the age of 94. She is survived by 3 sons; Lawrence (Donna) Bezeau of Fredericton NB, Arnold (Miriam) Bezeau of Calgary AB, and Ken (Jackie) Manning of Strathmore AB, and by 2 daughters; Suzanne Sirias of Raymond AB and Yvonne (Ted) Naito of Kelowna. She also leaves behind 17 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. She was pre-deceased by her sister, Viola, and by brothers, Gordon, Rowan, and Arnold. Mom was born in 1913 in Elgin County, Ontario and was raised on a farm. She married Louis Bezeau in 1940. She started teaching in the early 1930s and loved her work. Her students often told us that she was the best teacher they had ever had. During her life, she lived in almost every province in Canada. She spent many years in Lethbridge AB and Fredericton NB and moved to Kelowna in 2005. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday December 7th in the Chapel of First Memorial Funeral Services, 1211 Sutherland Ave., Reverend Wayne Laurie officiating.
